Posada is one of the oldest inhabited Sardinian up. The discovery (in the'70s) of a-Nuragic Etruscan necropolis in the current settlement, together with the finding of furnishings hand eras, testifies to the presence of man since time very remote.
The offer tourist Posada is composed mainly of seasonal affittanza in case of housing, having a few facilities. The areas of housing are the historic center of Posada, the peripheral areas of Posada in the village of San Giovanni (on the sea).
Apart from the beaches of St. John, the Su Tiriarzu and Orvile are subject to visit the river routes, Lake Maccheronis the historical core campaigns Sas Murtas.
The vast port of La cove (ca. 1000 berths), co-managed with common Siniscola whom Posada shares the territorial jurisdiction, is currently Corsican adjustment for the implementation of facilities and services for yachtsmen.
Among the various festivals celebrating the main Our Lady of relief that variable falls on the first Sunday after Easter.
In addition to Posada is celebrating the patron saint, S. Antonio Abate on 17/01, with a celebration in the square where a firearm is a unique combination of immense cistus (Sardinian: "mudregu"), collected from the population in the days immediately preceding. The traditional ritual includes 3 laps around the bonfire in procession. He then distribute sweets typical of such "cogoneddos sos" and "s'aranzada" blessed during the ceremony eclesiastica and strictly hand made by ladies of Posada. In addition to this a small committee is in charge of organising a "refreshment" with sandwiches with roast sausage and wine.
